The new Casal is an opportunity for urban planning and landscape improvement based on a public facility that is so necessary for the neighbourhood.As an urban action, the building is a hinge between the street and the park.
A compact and recognisable front is proposed, elongated, with a clear structure that generates a façade to the promenade. The decision was prompted by the disproportionality of the access avenue in relation to the scale of the facility and the m2 built.
The project strategy solves the relationship between the volume and the park at a higher level than the access avenue by creating an exterior courtyard that saves the topography and embeds the second volume in the terrain.
A single prefabricated concrete construction system is proposed with block lattice solutions generating a double bioclimatic wall.
