Area: 200 m²

A private commission was received to build a swimming pool in the garden of a newly acquired detached house, to improve the landscaping of the surroundings and its accessibility. The owners are not in favour of the use of vegetation, preferring hard ground and low maintenance.
The project becomes a copy of the tectonic language of the house: a lowering of the concrete slab so rounded to the ground, generating the pool basin. A symmetry of the eaves of the slab on the added floor slab. A short strip of nature then leads to a warm porcelain stoneware tiling in similar tones to the washed concrete of the house. A two-section ramp on one side gives access to the garden and a staircase at the other end links the two levels.
